Ice is not nice

Two weekends ago my mom and myself went downstate to visit family. On Sunday we get home and notice all the back roads are all ice. So we get to my drive way, which is a massive hill, and it is an insane, entire block of ice. We have a brand new truck so we started to go up the hill. We didn't even make it up half way and started to slide backwards. So we said screw that and parked the truck at the garage and walked up. But since it was all ice we kept sliding so it was almost impossible to walk up. The next day we had to get to the bus stop so we started to walk down the hill and my mom slipped and fell on the ice right on her tailbone. We ended up having to go to the hospital after school but she just has a bruised coccyx. But everyday since then we have been walking up and down the ice. It just, this weekend, started to melt and we finally got to drive the truck up the hill. I now officially hate ice.

Humiliation

One day in the seventh grade I was walking really fast to my locker. I was about to miss the bus so I was trying so hard to get there in time. Meanwhile there was this sixth grader kneeling down by his locker with his feet out. I, who was walking super fast, had my head turned around talking to my friend and didn't see his feet sticking out in the isle way. I trip over his feet face plant the lockers and slid on my fast across, what felt like ten lockers. I made it to my locker, got my stuff and walked away. I'm pretty sure everyone saw my hit my face on all the lockers, but I didn't look up to see if anyone saw. It was still the most humiliating moment in the seventh grade.

Stranded on a deserted island

I often ask myself what would I do if I was stranded on an island and I could bring along twenty items and twenty celebrities. You may think that is no big deal to choose who you pick, but if you think about it, it is actually a really hard decision to make. You have to consider the following: who can build a fort, who is strong enough to carry heavy things, someone who knows their surroundings, someone who knows survival stuff, someone who can cook, a funny person, even a cute guy, a leader, and a really good fighter. So i made my list and here is who I would bring.

  1. Bear Grylls
  2. Dwayne Johnson
  3. Chuck Norris
  4. Leo Howard
  5. Ellen Degeneres
  6.  Mark Wahlberg
  7. Vin Diesel
  8. Channing Tatum
  9. Chris Hemsworth
  10. Jennifer Lawrence
  11. Chris Evans
  12. Melissa McCarthy
  13. Emma Stone
  14. Rachel McAdams
  15. Theo James
  16. Shailene Woodley
  17. Miles Teller
  18. Bruce Willis
  19. Bill Murray
  20. Mila Kunis

So those lucky actors get to be stranded with me on an island! The twenty things I would bring would be (clothes, boots, jackets included)

  1. Flint
  2. Water purifier
  3. Machete
  4. Axe
  5. Compass
  6. Paracord
  7. Fishing line/ dental floss
  8. First aid kit
  9. Duct tape
  10. Night vision device
  11. Sun block
  12. Flashlight
  13. Batteries
  14. Knife sharpener
  15. Tarps
  16. Watch
  17. Rope
  18. Map of the island
  19. Full supply of food
  20. Animals

Who and what would you bring?

All About Me

So this isn't a story but I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself if that's okay. My name is Hayley Ryan, well my middle name is Ryan, but that's just what I go by. I was born on June 14th, 1999 in Warren, Michigan. I have two older sisters, Lauren, 22, and Alyssa, 19. My parents divorced when I was two and my mom got remarried. I now have three step brothers but i'm still the baby in the family. My sister moved out when she was 16 to live with my grandma so its basically just been me and Alyssa. I have three dogs, two Flat Coat Retrievers and a Shiba Inu. My mom and I recently moved four hours away, up north.  My step-dad and Alyssa had to stay down there because Alyssa has college and Chuck, my step-dad has this amazing job. So now its just my mom, my dog Emma, and myself. It gets lonely sometimes, being in a new school, a new house, a new city. Its like a different world up here but I know ill survive with my mom there to help me along the way. So yeah that's me. Its the story of my life
so I thought i'd share it with you.

My Ghost Story...

I just recently moved into a new house, on top of a hill, in the middle of the woods. Its just me and my mom, my step-dad lives downstate. Thursday night my step-dad came up north to stay with us for the weekend. My bedroom is at the end of the hallway and across from my room is my moms. Around 11 pm  that night I fell asleep facing my wall. I woke up 30 minutes later and fell back asleep, woke up 30 minutes later and then turned over on my other side and went back to sleep. 30 minutes later I wake to hear this humming sound, It almost sounded like my dog was crying, so I didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden an insane sensation creeps over my body. It feels like a tingly, fuzzy feeling. THEN a hand strokes my right arm, over, and over. Now i'm starting to freak out. I open my eyes and stare into my pitch black dark room. A light flashes in front of my face and an old lady is standing there tilting her head and she says to me "are you okay?" NOPE not anymore! thank you very much! I screamed for my mom and she flew in my room. I told her all about it and I ended up sleeping with my lamp on the rest of
the night.

My sister broke my arm.

This isn't going to be the usual long story but it is pretty funny. One day my two sisters and I were playing on this one big chair downstairs. I was probably seven and my eldest sister was twelve. We would take the back of the chair and then we push up on it and flip over the chair, now landing on the seat of the chair. Well it was my turn to hop over so I did and I stayed on the seat for a little bit with my arms behind me keeping me sitting up right. So all of a sudden my big sister hops over the chair and lands right on my arm. Keep in mind the way I was positioned. and she snapped my arm. So now when I tell the story all I have to say is " My sister broke my arm by sitting on me."

Summer "Love"

In the summer my family and I would always go camping at Addison Oaks. We just pulled up and my sister and I got out of the car. We noticed people at the park next door so we went over to go hangout with them. They were in a tree so when they climbed down we saw that it was two boys, one twelve, bailey and one fourteen, Tyler. We introduced ourselves and we started to hangout. We spend the whole day with them and the entire night. My older sister was 12 at the time and I just turned 10 so my mom didn't like the fact that we were out with boys all night long so she called us back to the camper. All of a sudden I here a "PSST!"  It was them! Outside, talking to us through the window. It was crazy, back then being so young, we through we were so cool. The next day we go hangout with them and I was hanging out with Tyler at the top of the playground in this tree house looking thing, My sister was with Bailey swinging. Tyler and I talked, and talked and we started to like each other, we even held hands! Wow right? *sarcastic tone* Skip a couple days ahead and it was time to go home. We hung out all week and I had the time of my life! We even carved our initials into a bench "TS+HF" We met at the top of the tree house, that was our thing, and hugged for a very long time. We said out goodbye and I walked toward my camper. Bailey and Tyler called our names and we ran over to them. They gave us wild flowers and a long note that they wrote on paper plates. Yes, paper plates, how romantic! Tyler then gave me this red bejeweled heart and I literally though i was in love. Long story short we never talked
again after that.

My trip to Lancing

One day in the fourth grade I woke up, excited about my field trip to the states capital, Lancing. I was looking forward to this trip all month but what I was not looking forward to was having the flu. I told my mom that I wasn't that sick and that I could NOT miss this trip, so I went anyways. We get to lancing and i'm feeling okay, hanging out with my best friends and laughing also with my all time crush, at the time, Isiah. we get to lunch and I start to feel super sick. My face turns pale and my eyes grow tired. So my friends dad, who was the chaperon, felt my head and told the teacher. And then it hit me. I feel this sensation that I knew wasn't going to be good, I wrap my hands around my mouth and sprint to the bathroom, I pass by all my friends, Isiah too, and I vomit EVERYWHERE. All over the capitals carpet and a sign that read "Welcome to Lancing!" I make it to the bathroom and I puke all over the sinks and by this time its up my nose, in my hair, just everywhere. I end up waking up in a storage closet with my teacher sitting by me with some medicine. She called my mom and told her but I had to stay there the rest of the day because there was no way of my mom getting me. A while later and it was time to go home. What a great day I had, so excited to go to lancing, and I end up spending most of my day starring at brooms and cleaner. AND on top all of that I was sitting close by all of my friends and my crush and he says "HEY did you guys see that one girl puke everywhere?!" I.. was.. mortified.

My adventures with you aren't going to be that adventurous, but to me they're amazing because they're apart of my life.
