Chance

I have the best dog in the entire world. I'm not just saying that because he's my dogs, its really true. We got my dog, Chance, when I was 5. He is turning 13 very soon, June 6th. He is  Flat Coat Retriever mix, with what, we don't know. Chance was a rescue dog from the humane society, he was abused and abandoned. We walked in the dog kennel, and all the dogs went crazy jumping on the fences, barking. Then we got to this one dog, sitting still in front of the fence. We took one look at him and that was it. The people there said he wasn't a friendly dog towards kids so we said to put him in a room to see what he would do with us. We got in the room and he was absolutely perfect with us. My parents signed the papers and we could pick him up in a few days. We went home so excited that day and had a family meeting on what his name was going to be. We all put names into a hat and my mom randomly drew one. But the catch was that the name had to be meaningful. She pulled out "Chance." my mom choose that name because she said that we gave him a chance when someone abandoned him and he gave us a chance too. It was a perfect fit. Chance has been my best friend and older brother for quite some time now and he means the world to me and then some. I love chance with all of my heart, he was definitely the best Christmas present I've ever gotten.

Sprinter (spring and winter)

What I don't understand is that its spring, yet its freezing cold and snowing. That's Michigan for you. Sun shining 60 degrees one day and the the next day its 20 and snowing. It has been nice all this week but we're suppose to be getting anywhere between 10 and 26 inches? That's insane. All the snow was almost all melted away. I just don't understand mother nature, she need to get her act together.

Gross

This one time when I was really young I wanted to sleep in the bed with my big sister so I did. That night we had spaghetti for dinner. I ended up throwing it up all over the wall AND my sister. She never let me sleep in the bed with her after that. It wasn't my fault that I got the flu..

My apologies

There are a lot of things that I feel like I need to apologize for. I'm really sorry for caring too much. I'm sorry for lying to protect you. I'm so sorry that I hurt you. I'm sorry that I lost your trust. I'm sorry for everything. But all the sorrys in the world cant express how regretful I am. There are no excuses. But I have tried everything for you to forgive me and now its up to you to decide if we're moving over this huge road bump or not. Its all up to you to decided where we stand. Even though you're probably not reading this. I just wanted to get it off my chest and say, I'm sorry.

Advice

Growing up you always here "don't do that" or "do this" but sometimes its not enough. The things people don't tell you, I will,  i'm not afraid to tell you. The truth is always the best way to go. So for everyone that's not in high school here or are freshmen here is some REAL advice for you. You really need to try your absolute best freshmen year and the years after. If you do bad your freshmen year it WILL drag your GPA down and its incredibly hard to pull it back up. You WILL lose friends, whether its because of a boyfriend/girlfriend, other friends, or someone moves. It will happen and you need to be ready for it. Do sports! Or clubs or SOMETHING!!! You do not want to go through high school not involved. It looks so good on college applications and its a great way to make friends and get active. It is so important to study, study, study! You can trust me with this advice because this is all the stuff I wish I did but never "got around to it." Just take my word for it, do your absolute best and have fun!

School

I don't think I have ever been as ready for summer than I am right now. I'm so sick of school. Same stuff, different day. Drama, liars, fakes. I just want it to be summer so I have a break from all of that. In the summer I feel so free. I don't have to stress about homework or tests. I honestly don't think some teachers truly get that we are under enough stress as it is being teenagers. We have to worry about our social lives, where we're going to college, whether of not we'll do good on the SAT, how to pay for college. Its unbelievable how much we have to get done in such a short time. Way back in the 7th grade I started to prepare for the ACT. Taking tests, everything. Then last year I just found out that someone decided to change it up so the juniors next year (my grade) would have to take the SAT. How unfair is that first of all. Second why didn't they take the 7th graders NOW and say okay when you're in the 11th grade then you'll be taking the SAT. Start it then not just drop it out of nowhere and screw us all up. I can literally go on for hours about how messed up this education system is. BUT  I cannot blame every teacher or every school. There are some teachers out there that help you out to the full extent and care about your education like its more than just a job to them. Anyways getting off that annoying topic. SUMMER, I cannot wait for it!! I love summer so much, it almost brings tears to my eye when that last minute of school ticks and we don't have to come back for another 2 and a half months. That's another thing. I don't understand why we have school for almost 10 months for more than 13 years. YES I understand how important free education is BUT if you tell a teenager to do something odds are they wont do it or wont do there best. I have to get off this school subject. Some one might not like what I have to say. But I'm just speaking the truth for most of the people out there.

Shocked

When my family and I just moved into our house about twelve years ago, there was a lot of updating the house needed. My step-dad was working on the basement for a long time and when he was almost finished I went down to check it out. I noticed the it wasn't completely done, the light switch covers weren't on and the paint was still wet. I looked around for a while and then decided to go up stairs. I go to switch off the light and run up stairs but I got electrocuted! I flew back and started to cry. I looked down at my finger and there was this little red dot in the middle. The dot ended up staying there for about two or three years. And that's the time I got shocked.

Friends

Friends are probably one of the most important things in life to have in my opinion. I know that my two best friends mean everything to me, I honestly don't know what I would do without them. Friends make you feel important in every way. They can pick you up when you're down. They make you feel better when you're sad or sick. They can make you laugh until you pee your pants or get cramps in your stomach. I know that there will be times that we will fight but whats a relationship without fighting? Not a really real one if you ask me. You really do need friends in life and if you think you don't think you need them you obviously don't know what you're talking about. My best friends are like my family now because we are so comfortable with each other its kind of scary. I know I can tell them the most craziest stuff and know they wont judge me and they know I wont judge them either. I tell them everything about my life and the other way around too. If you cant do the same with your friends maybe they aren't the kind of friends to have. If they are always pulling you down or making fun of you, you need to drop them. If you know you cant tell them a certain thing cause they will judge you , you need to drop them. Take it from my experience, its better to have one or two best friends who care about you so much, than a whole bunch of friend that wouldn't care if you dropped off the face of the earth. Friends are the best, I love you Madison and Katie!

Disney

I'm sixteen years old and I love everything about Disney. I have watched all the Disney movies probably at least ten times each. I know all the words to the songs in the Disney princess movies. My favorite Disney princess movies would have to be Tangled, Mulan, The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas. When High School Musical first came out I remember i was so excited and i fell in love with it! I love Wall-e, Up and Monsters Inc. and The Lion King. I could probably list all the Disney movies as my favorites! I dont think I will ever grow out of my Disney loving self!

Growing up

Growing up I changed my mind about what I wanted to be when I was older. Some of the changes were very drastic and others very similar. As far back as I could remember I wanted to be a veterinarian. I loved my dog so much and just animals in general. What I didn't know at that time was that you had to put down some animals and I cannot do that. Also you have to go through a ton of schooling, and who wants to do that? My second job that I wanted to do was be a police officer, crazy jump right? And right around the same time I wanted to be a cop, I also wanted to be a hair stylist. Two completely different things, but hey, I was young. I looked into being a police officer when I was about 9 or 10 and saw that they didn't really make a lot of money and neither did a hairstylist. Those two were out. Then i thought to myself whats like a police officer, but better? Being in the Army! For about two years I was researching all about the army and the requirements and found something horrible. You cant have anything wrong with your heart. Well I have a heart condition so I was all bumbed. When I got to high school there was this college fair and military information. I visited the army tent and asked him about my heart and he said they would for sure not let me in. Army's off the list. Then I was like I love to act, im amazing at different accents and I can lie really well if I needed to, a spy!! I looked up a bunch of things about it and the internet said either the FBI or the CIA. Well to be in the CIA you have to know a whole bunch of different languages and I suck and learning another language. So on to the FBI, I looked up all the criteria to become a FBI and you have to have a really good record, which I have, a police background, which I could get, and have a 3. something GPA, well freshman year I didn't do so hot and I didn't take school seriously so I couldn't go to the college that has the FBI stuff at. The last and final job that I am going to try so hard to get and to be is a homicide investigator. I chose this because im really good at figuring out situations after they happened and solving things. I knew I wanted to be in the criminal justice field in someway and this is what I found to be the perfect solution. To become a homicide investigator, you have to be a police office for three years and then get recommended by your superior. Then the final step would be taking this huge test to see if you are qualified to become that and you're done! I'm pretty sure there's a whole bunch more stuff to do but that's just the basics. I'm so happy I found a career out there that i'm so interested in and so excited to do when i'm older. Not most teenagers can say they have a set goal in life but I can surely say that I AM going to be a homicide investigator someday.

Ice is not nice

Two weekends ago my mom and myself went downstate to visit family. On Sunday we get home and notice all the back roads are all ice. So we get to my drive way, which is a massive hill, and it is an insane, entire block of ice. We have a brand new truck so we started to go up the hill. We didn't even make it up half way and started to slide backwards. So we said screw that and parked the truck at the garage and walked up. But since it was all ice we kept sliding so it was almost impossible to walk up. The next day we had to get to the bus stop so we started to walk down the hill and my mom slipped and fell on the ice right on her tailbone. We ended up having to go to the hospital after school but she just has a bruised coccyx. But everyday since then we have been walking up and down the ice. It just, this weekend, started to melt and we finally got to drive the truck up the hill. I now officially hate ice.

Humiliation

One day in the seventh grade I was walking really fast to my locker. I was about to miss the bus so I was trying so hard to get there in time. Meanwhile there was this sixth grader kneeling down by his locker with his feet out. I, who was walking super fast, had my head turned around talking to my friend and didn't see his feet sticking out in the isle way. I trip over his feet face plant the lockers and slid on my fast across, what felt like ten lockers. I made it to my locker, got my stuff and walked away. I'm pretty sure everyone saw my hit my face on all the lockers, but I didn't look up to see if anyone saw. It was still the most humiliating moment in the seventh grade.

Stranded on a deserted island

I often ask myself what would I do if I was stranded on an island and I could bring along twenty items and twenty celebrities. You may think that is no big deal to choose who you pick, but if you think about it, it is actually a really hard decision to make. You have to consider the following: who can build a fort, who is strong enough to carry heavy things, someone who knows their surroundings, someone who knows survival stuff, someone who can cook, a funny person, even a cute guy, a leader, and a really good fighter. So i made my list and here is who I would bring.

  1. Bear Grylls
  2. Dwayne Johnson
  3. Chuck Norris
  4. Leo Howard
  5. Ellen Degeneres
  6.  Mark Wahlberg
  7. Vin Diesel
  8. Channing Tatum
  9. Chris Hemsworth
  10. Jennifer Lawrence
  11. Chris Evans
  12. Melissa McCarthy
  13. Emma Stone
  14. Rachel McAdams
  15. Theo James
  16. Shailene Woodley
  17. Miles Teller
  18. Bruce Willis
  19. Bill Murray
  20. Mila Kunis

So those lucky actors get to be stranded with me on an island! The twenty things I would bring would be (clothes, boots, jackets included)

  1. Flint
  2. Water purifier
  3. Machete
  4. Axe
  5. Compass
  6. Paracord
  7. Fishing line/ dental floss
  8. First aid kit
  9. Duct tape
  10. Night vision device
  11. Sun block
  12. Flashlight
  13. Batteries
  14. Knife sharpener
  15. Tarps
  16. Watch
  17. Rope
  18. Map of the island
  19. Full supply of food
  20. Animals

Who and what would you bring?

"yes" creates possiblities, "no" shut them all down - Hayley Ryan

All About Me

So this isn't a story but I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself if that's okay. My name is Hayley Ryan, well my middle name is Ryan, but that's just what I go by. I was born on June 14th, 1999 in Warren, Michigan. I have two older sisters, Lauren, 22, and Alyssa, 19. My parents divorced when I was two and my mom got remarried. I now have three step brothers but i'm still the baby in the family. My sister moved out when she was 16 to live with my grandma so its basically just been me and Alyssa. I have three dogs, two Flat Coat Retrievers and a Shiba Inu. My mom and I recently moved four hours away, up north.  My step-dad and Alyssa had to stay down there because Alyssa has college and Chuck, my step-dad has this amazing job. So now its just my mom, my dog Emma, and myself. It gets lonely sometimes, being in a new school, a new house, a new city. Its like a different world up here but I know ill survive with my mom there to help me along the way. So yeah that's me. Its the story of my life
so I thought i'd share it with you.

My Ghost Story...

I just recently moved into a new house, on top of a hill, in the middle of the woods. Its just me and my mom, my step-dad lives downstate. Thursday night my step-dad came up north to stay with us for the weekend. My bedroom is at the end of the hallway and across from my room is my moms. Around 11 pm  that night I fell asleep facing my wall. I woke up 30 minutes later and fell back asleep, woke up 30 minutes later and then turned over on my other side and went back to sleep. 30 minutes later I wake to hear this humming sound, It almost sounded like my dog was crying, so I didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden an insane sensation creeps over my body. It feels like a tingly, fuzzy feeling. THEN a hand strokes my right arm, over, and over. Now i'm starting to freak out. I open my eyes and stare into my pitch black dark room. A light flashes in front of my face and an old lady is standing there tilting her head and she says to me "are you okay?" NOPE not anymore! thank you very much! I screamed for my mom and she flew in my room. I told her all about it and I ended up sleeping with my lamp on the rest of
the night.

My sister broke my arm.

This isn't going to be the usual long story but it is pretty funny. One day my two sisters and I were playing on this one big chair downstairs. I was probably seven and my eldest sister was twelve. We would take the back of the chair and then we push up on it and flip over the chair, now landing on the seat of the chair. Well it was my turn to hop over so I did and I stayed on the seat for a little bit with my arms behind me keeping me sitting up right. So all of a sudden my big sister hops over the chair and lands right on my arm. Keep in mind the way I was positioned. and she snapped my arm. So now when I tell the story all I have to say is " My sister broke my arm by sitting on me."

Summer "Love"

In the summer my family and I would always go camping at Addison Oaks. We just pulled up and my sister and I got out of the car. We noticed people at the park next door so we went over to go hangout with them. They were in a tree so when they climbed down we saw that it was two boys, one twelve, bailey and one fourteen, Tyler. We introduced ourselves and we started to hangout. We spend the whole day with them and the entire night. My older sister was 12 at the time and I just turned 10 so my mom didn't like the fact that we were out with boys all night long so she called us back to the camper. All of a sudden I here a "PSST!"  It was them! Outside, talking to us through the window. It was crazy, back then being so young, we through we were so cool. The next day we go hangout with them and I was hanging out with Tyler at the top of the playground in this tree house looking thing, My sister was with Bailey swinging. Tyler and I talked, and talked and we started to like each other, we even held hands! Wow right? *sarcastic tone* Skip a couple days ahead and it was time to go home. We hung out all week and I had the time of my life! We even carved our initials into a bench "TS+HF" We met at the top of the tree house, that was our thing, and hugged for a very long time. We said out goodbye and I walked toward my camper. Bailey and Tyler called our names and we ran over to them. They gave us wild flowers and a long note that they wrote on paper plates. Yes, paper plates, how romantic! Tyler then gave me this red bejeweled heart and I literally though i was in love. Long story short we never talked
again after that.

My trip to Lancing

One day in the fourth grade I woke up, excited about my field trip to the states capital, Lancing. I was looking forward to this trip all month but what I was not looking forward to was having the flu. I told my mom that I wasn't that sick and that I could NOT miss this trip, so I went anyways. We get to lancing and i'm feeling okay, hanging out with my best friends and laughing also with my all time crush, at the time, Isiah. we get to lunch and I start to feel super sick. My face turns pale and my eyes grow tired. So my friends dad, who was the chaperon, felt my head and told the teacher. And then it hit me. I feel this sensation that I knew wasn't going to be good, I wrap my hands around my mouth and sprint to the bathroom, I pass by all my friends, Isiah too, and I vomit EVERYWHERE. All over the capitals carpet and a sign that read "Welcome to Lancing!" I make it to the bathroom and I puke all over the sinks and by this time its up my nose, in my hair, just everywhere. I end up waking up in a storage closet with my teacher sitting by me with some medicine. She called my mom and told her but I had to stay there the rest of the day because there was no way of my mom getting me. A while later and it was time to go home. What a great day I had, so excited to go to lancing, and I end up spending most of my day starring at brooms and cleaner. AND on top all of that I was sitting close by all of my friends and my crush and he says "HEY did you guys see that one girl puke everywhere?!" I.. was.. mortified.

My adventures with you aren't going to be that adventurous, but to me they're amazing because they're apart of my life.
